Selling to Opendoor

We’ve updated our processes to safely resume buying homes in select markets to give homeowners the option of a certain sale with Opendoor. We’re also committed to providing a digital and safe experience for everyone involved. A direct sale to Opendoor now includes a virtual interior home assessment, eliminating any in-person contact. See below for a more detailed breakdown of our new home selling experience: 

1. Your customer can request an offer on their home via our website, your custom homebuilder URL, or your unique sales associate referral link

2. We will send them an offer in the form of a value range that will be emailed to them within 24 hours.

3. After your customer accepts our offer range, they can schedule a safe, contact-free Virtual Home Assessment.

• Virtual Home Assessments can typically be scheduled and completed within 3 business days.

4. The final offer (adjusted for repairs and all other materials facts) is provided to the customer.

• The expected wait time for the final offer is no more than 2 business days.
• The final offer is valid for 5 days.

5. Your customer e-signs the purchase agreement and repair addendum.  They are now a “home-to-close” customer.

6. Your customer can select a flexible closing date between 14 days to 9 months from contract execution. We also give them 2 free days of Late Checkout to provide a seamless move out of their old home and into their new home.
